Roland Hanks died Saturday Evening, August 9, 2008

Roland Hanks died in the peace of Christ Saturday evening, August 9, 2008.

Roland John Hanks - Born October 12, 1927 in Claremont, NH and passed away of natural causes in the company of his loving family on Saturday, August 9, 2008.   Roland is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Blanche Hanks, a sister Sandra Connor, his daughters- Donna Hudgens, Debbie Woods, Raelene Hays, and Nancy Sky, and their extended families who loved and cherished Piggy Papa. 

A Memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 310 E. Noble Avenue, Guthrie, OK 73044 at 2pm on Thursday, August 14, 2008, where Memorial Donations can be made in his name.  Reception following at the home of John and Rolanda Riggs- 1915 W. Cleveland, Guthrie, OK 73044.  This little piggy went home! 

Roland's wife, Blanche, has advised Fr. John Borrego that the family will not need meals delivered in the next few days; however, if anyone wants to come by their home, they will be glad to see you.

We will surely miss Roland's great smile and wonderful sense of humor. He will always be in our hearts.

Roland and I tried to be the 1st to see each other, kinda would point at each other. Dale had great fun with Freeman and Roland when the three of them were in wheelchairs at Masonic Temple when our church hosted the convention. Roland will be missed!

Blanche and family, prayers and blessing sent your way. Roland was a lovely man and a lucky one too, being blessed as he was with such a loving family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory!
